Location: Outside Vegas
August 11th, 2010 § 1 Comment
I went to Photoshop World last October and they took us to a location just outside of Las Vegas for a photoshoot. I looked like an old town with abandoned cars, airplane (?) and an old store. Now that my picture editing skills are catching up with my picture taking skills, I will be revisiting some old photoshoots and sprucing them up. Take a look!

Event: Worldwide Photowalk – Durham, NC
August 6th, 2010 § 1 Comment
A couple of weekends ago, I had the pleasure of participating in Scott Kelby’s 3rd Annual Worldwide Photowalk. About 30 photographers met at the Durham Farmer’s Market in Downtown Durham, and spent about 2 hours taking pictures in and around the area. If you are in Durham, its a great way to spend a Saturday morning. The produce is so fresh and flowers for sale are so beautiful. They have handmade baked goods, crafts and soap. There is also live music. Here are some of my favorite shots from the Farmer’s Market. Here are some of my favorite shots from the Farmer’s Market.

I met Amy through the Durham Photography Group. She has been a great mentor, advisor, teacher and friend. At Madalyn and Wally’s wedding, I learned so much just from watching her work. Here are some shots of Amy doing her thing. Amy is the owner of Your Still Life Photography, and shoots weddings with her husband, David. I can’t thank you enough for all that you do.

Wedding: Madalyn and Wally Part 2
July 28th, 2010 § 2 Comments
Here are more shots of the fabulous wedding of Madalyn and Wally: the bridesmaids, the groomsmen and the decor. The red shoes were so cute and those girls knew how to work them. The wedding had a country theme and they got it down to the last detail. The reception took place in a beautifully decorated barn. The mason jars, the bandanas and the cake topper were adorable.

Wedding: Madalyn and Wally Part 1

So I finally got to shoot a wedding thanks to Amy at Your Still Life Photography. The bride was absolutely beautiful and I loved the venue, Shady Wagon Farms. It was really hot and it rained a little but by the time the wedding ceremony took place, everything was great. The flowers were gerber daisies. Simple, classic and beautiful. Here are some pictures of the bride and groom. I will put other of the wedding in the next post.

Prom: Netta and Deion
July 1st, 2010 § Leave a Comment
Deion invited Netta to his junior prom a couple of weeks ago. They are just good friends but they are really cute together. I really loved her purple dress and tiara. From what I heard, they had a great time. Netta was also really good at posing. I hope to photograph her again in the future.

Nasha came all the way from Charlotte, NC to attend the prom with Isaiah. They are not together anymore but still good friends. I think they still make a cute couple.

Flowers: Lilies from My Garden
June 3rd, 2010 § 1 Comment
Now that we are moving into summer, the flowers in my garden are in full bloom. I have often been accused of over-hobbying myself but its good when the two hobbies can co-exist. I love to garden and I love to take pictures. The two naturally go together. Here are some asiatic lilies after the rains of a week ago. The daylilies will be here soon. Can’t wait!

Kids: AJ and Stacey

Here is the final in three posts, Stacey and AJ together. Although he’s 4 and she’s 9, they seem to be very close and get along just great. It reminds me of my little brother and me. This was a fun day.
